Our first ISP International Summer Camp launched in summer 2019 for our students aged 12–14 years at Kehoe-France near New Orleans in the USA. The camp will be returning in the summer of 2020.
The camp provides the opportunity for our students to:
- meet other ISP students from all over the world
- enjoy a breadth of diverse and exciting experiences in a safe and supportive environment
- experience a taste of the unique and influential culture in New Orleans
- learn more about American history and the significance the world’s many cultures have had on influencing American culture, and how the US culture influences our world today.
Kehoe-France School joined ISP in October 2017 and has two campuses offering an education to children and students from nursery through to Grade 7. The school first established a summer camp in 1949 and has continued to operate these camps for nearly 70 years, promoting outstanding leadership and an enrichment of experiences so campers understand themselves, others, and the world they live in.
Along with our other international programmes, the ISP International Summer Camp is an experience that offers students amazing and diverse learning opportunities, whilst having fun and making new friends. It offers a variety of learning-focused, team building and outdoor activities.
Some examples of the exciting opportunities available at the summer camp will include: exploring the vibrant music scene of New Orleans; cooking and sampling the famous local cuisine; taking part in academic challenges; leadership development activities and sports competitions; experiencing the great American outdoors; and building long-term friendships with students in the USA and from around the world.
If you are a parent or student at an ISP school and would like to find out more about the ISP International Summer Camp for summer 2020, please contact your school Admissions Office from November 2019.
