An early primary boy looking straight at the camera smiling

We exist to grow the world’s most curious, confident minds.

Creating learning experiences that build confidence first and foremost is the most powerful thing we can do for students.

The more confidence you have, the more you engage your curiosity to explore the world around you and take action to learn and grow.

An early primary student excitedly points to a screen.

Our principles emphasise and underpin how we do what we do.

We begin with our children and students
Everyone at the ISP, whatever their role, is expected to put the success of our students at the heart of everything they do.

We pride ourselves on putting learners and their learning first
We think this is the most powerful thing we can do for our students. This is what makes us unique and what we call the Learning.First methodology.
Learning.First

We treat everyone with care and respect
We look after one another, embrace similarities and differences and promote the well-being of each other.

We learn continuously. Getting better is what drives us.
This ethos is not only a sentiment, but how we operate in our schools through our Learning Improvement Process.

Environmental,
Social
and Governance

Our vision is to build a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive future through the power of education and our organisation.

As a purpose-driven educational organisation, we embrace Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) within the school environment. We foster a culture of sustainability, encourage critical thinking about ethical dilemmas, and prepare students to contribute positively to society.

Through integrating ESG in a comprehensive way, our schools not only shape future leaders but also contribute to a more sustainable and equitable world. From 2021, we formalised a robust ESG strategy to ensure that a sustainability mindset is deeply embedded across all areas of our organisation.

Our corporate ESG vision is rooted in three key areas:

Learning icon

Learning

Lead and educate responsibly to spark our students’ curiosity and grow their confidence to act for local and global societal change.

Earth icon

Reduce the environmental footprint of our schools to build towards a more sustainable future.

Community icon

EdTech & digital transformation

Our mission is to craft an educational environment where technology complements and enhances the human element of teaching, fostering a collaborative relationship between educators, students, and technological advancements.

Our priority at ISP is to test and implement approaches that have tangible benefits for our community, in a safe, responsible way.

We’re focused on the purposeful implementation of EdTech and AI solutions that help us achieve the very best educational outcomes for our students and their families.

LabSchools initiative

ISP LabSchools is a network of 11 of our schools worldwide that are serving as epicentres of EdTech innovation.

It’s our flagship programme for quickly testing and learning from the latest EdTech solutions.

These schools, spanning the USA, Europe, Iberia, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Middle East, India, and Malaysia, serve as testing grounds for new EdTech solutions. Each school is focused on a specific ISP learning pillar, ranging from academic achievement to well-being, offering unique insights and perspectives on the integration of technology in education.

Safeguarding

ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners to share this commitment.

We recognise that our schools are particularly important in protecting our students; they are in the best position to identify concerns early and provide or identify help for students as well as helping to prevent these concerns from escalating.

At ISP, we adhere to the following child and safeguarding principles:

A child’s welfare is paramount, and each student has the right to be protected from harm and exploitation and to have their welfare safeguarded irrespective of race, religion, ability, gender, or culture.

All students need to be safe and feel safe in school.

Every student is entitled to a rich and broad curriculum that helps to equip them to keep themselves safe.

Every adult in school must have a demonstrable commitment to protecting the students with/for whom we work.

We work in partnership with parents/carers and/or other professionals to ensure the protection of students.

Our guiding principle throughout is to act in the best interests of the students.

All students have the same equal rights to protection, but we recognize that we need to do more for some because of their special educational needs, disability, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.

All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the previous 10 years employment history.

At ISP, we adhere to the following child and safeguarding principles:

When a student joins an ISP school, they become part of a global community of over 70,000 students and 10,000 colleagues committed to improving their academic, physical, social and emotional learning.

They will develop in a safe, caring and inclusive environment. Every day, they get to engage in learning experiences that have a positive, long-lasting impact on their learning, personal development and overall wellbeing.

Meet the team

ISP was founded by an experienced team of committed school operators and educationalists who shared a passion for a distinctive approach to education.
Our global network of leaders and educational visionaries are dedicated to nurturing our schools worldwide.

Regional Managing Director - Vietnam & Thailand

Rosy is from Hanoi, Vietnam. While Rosy initially gained concurrent degrees in Education and English language from two local universities her inherent entrepreneurial foresight compelled her to complete a Bachelor of Economics in Marketing and an MBA with RMIT.

The resilience and tenacity of the Vietnamese people have been inspirational in Rosy’s motivation to aspire to the highest levels of professionalism and management. Regional Managing Director - Mexico & Central America

Mateo was born in Mexico City and grew up in Monterrey where he studied.

He holds a BA in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Systems from ITESM and an MBA from IPADE Business School. Learning is a tremendous passion for Mateo. He has worked in education for 14 years.

He transitioned into the sector as a University Rector at Universidad del Valle de Mexico campus Monterrey from a previous career as an investment banker. In 2012 he was promoted to COO for UVM. He was responsible for managing all operations and drove the expansion and growth of the group both organically through acquisitions as well as through focusing on academic quality and student outcomes. He moved away from education for two years, working as COO for City Express, an international hotel company, where he learned about service as a pilar for success not only for customers, but also for his team. However, the draw of the education sector was too strong and he rejoined UVM as VP of admissions and operations for 2 years before moving to ISP in March 2022.

Mateo is enthusiastic about working with our schools to become schools of choice and ISP’s purpose and principles really resonated with him. Helping children has been a part of his volunteer career for many years, serving as board member of PAME kids international and as Founder/CEO of Theatrum A.C., both organizations supporting children with medical and economical needs.

He enjoys the outdoors and mountains, playing music with his daughter, cycling (every type of terrain!) and spending time with his family. He also practices mindfulness and yoga.

Having spent a lot of time in Spain growing up, and speaking the language almost fluently, he was thrilled to start working with the International Schools Partnership (ISP) in 2015 within the Laude group of schools.

During this time, he also led training and development programmes for student and graduate teachers in school and worked alongside the Roehampton University delivering training to PGCE students there on assessment and measuring learning.

Nick’s main focus in life is getting better at stuff! He has a wide range of hobbies, including playing the piano, restoring furniture, DIY, and golf, which keep him busy learning and struggling (particularly the golf); but most of his time at home, by far, is dedicated to spending time with his family and his two small children.

Group Head of Learning and Learning Improvement

Sarah’s adventures into the world of education began after careers in journalism, music PR and the police force sparked a curiosity for life-long and life-wide learning.

An interest in learning and the brain led to a natural move into primary education, where she spent years as a teacher.

A passion for curriculum design opened the door to many happy years working and learning with the International Primary Curriculum and leading professional development and accreditation for schools around the world, before becoming head of programme.

Before joining International Schools Partnership (ISP) in 2019, Sarah moved to the Netherlands to collaborate on the first comprehensive review of the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme, evaluating the philosophy and pedagogy of the framework and developing support materials, videos and podcasts. During this time, she deepened her interest in the fields of educational neuroscience and student wellbeing, both of which are the research focus for her doctorate studies at the University of Bath.

Sarah loves creating and curating events and experiences where diverse groups of people can learn – and ideally laugh – together. Whether that’s online or face to face, involves education, music, immersive theatre, improvisation, philosophy or film nights, bringing people together is what makes her happy. And Japan – from the sake to the stationery, the gardens to the green tea, the karaoke to the cat faces – Japan makes her really happy!
