Originally from Poland, Alicja moved to Sydney, Australia at the age of eleven. She learned a lot from her family of storytellers who survived wars, political upheavals and immigration, but who always managed to stay positive and happy, and she has fond memories of her childhood. Commercially astute with over eighteen years of marketing experience working across Australasia and the MENA region, she has worked with multinational companies across a wide range of industries including education, tourism, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing and mining, aviation and F&B. Enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative, her reputation is built on honesty and integrity. She cares deeply about making a difference and creating a positive impact with everything she does, and with the colleagues she works with.
Alicja has always had a passion for communications and throughout her career studied Marketing, Business and Digital Communications with Australian universities and industry institutions. She stays up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies through supplementary studies. Today’s marketplace requires a deep understanding of the paradigm shifts in consumer behaviours impacted by new technologies, but equally important is understanding how culture and society impacts our everyday life.
A ‘global citizen’ at heart, Alicja loves travelling to different places and visiting her friends and family around the world, creating great experiences and memories for her family. She enjoys hiking, horse-riding, keeping fit, yoga, music festivals, reading, poetry, writing, and spending time with her children. One day she wants to climb Mount Kilimanjaro!
