Claremont School is a co-educational day and boarding school for children from the age of 1-18 years of age. The Claremont Nursery, Claremont Pre-Prep and Claremont Preparatory School were established in St Leonards-on-Sea in 1925 in beautiful 100-acre grounds, while the Claremont Senior School and Claremont Sixth Form at Bodiam developed more recently in response to the success of the Prep School. There are approximately 640 students at the school, including 100 boarders, located across two magnificent sites in St Leonards-on-Sea and Bodiam.

Rated Outstanding in its recent Ofsted report, the independent school facilitates creativity, academic excellence and independence within a nurturing and supportive environment. The school prides itself on the inspirational quality of its teaching staff which creates a dynamic learning environment in which all students make rapid progress. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the sports field or out in the community, children and students from nursery through to sixth form, are given the best opportunities to discover their talents by placing them at the centre of their own learning. Claremont Independent School is a positive, hard working learning environment, formulating bespoke study paths which play to the individual strengths of its students.

Set within the wonderful 125 acres of Claremont’s Prep School, Claremont’s Nursery warmly welcomes children at any time between the ages of 3 months and 4-years-old, offering a secure and stimulating environment for them to develop. When children join Claremont Pre-Prep they are quick to embark on a fun, adventure-filled journey of learning and discovery, whilst those joining Claremont Prep are encouraged to develop their own voice and confidence. The Senior School aims to challenge teenagers and encourage independent thought, whilst finally, sixth form pupils are equipped to thrive in their future, whatever that may be.
