Director of The Learning Hub
Doug grew up in London before spending his teenage years in rural Rutland and Leicestershire. Doug holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Birmingham, UK. He trained as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in tax and mergers & acquisitions, before moving to Diageo to work in their strategy and mergers & acquisitions department.
During a sabbatical in a Spanish language school, one teacher left Doug with an amazing learning experience, rekindling his passion for learning. Doug’s long-term interest in learning started out with spending his university summer holidays volunteering as an English teacher in Poland. Doug speaks Spanish to an intermediate level and is keen to get his French and German back up to a similar level. He often spends his holidays in schools abroad improving his foreign language skills. Doug is enthusiastic about using his commercial and personal experiences to deliver an amazing school experience to parents and the children at an ISP school. Doug also holds a strong interest in technological advances for learners and is keen to use his insights to improve the student experience.
Doug is a lifelong Arsenal supporter and regularly attends football matches. He also enjoys cooking, gardening, walking and spending time with his family.
