Jeff Ison

Campus Principal, Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park – Malaysia

Jeff was born in Bermuda and spent his childhood growing up in Birmingham, UK. It seemed an international life was always in the cards for Jeff, for he has always had a passion for History as a subject in school. After spending time honing his abilities and experience with volunteer work at schools and an American summer camp, he discovered his passion for working with young people and pursued his dreams.

He pursued this passion by obtaining a BA (Hons) in History at the University of Sheffield in 2004 and went on to earn a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Jeff honed his teaching skills in England before moving to Malaysia in 2013, where he joined the faculty at Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park and became a key member of the school’s leadership team.

Throughout his tenure at Tenby, Jeff has fostered relationships with both national and international schools and has been instrumental in the dynamic changes over the past 10 years. He has developed a vision focused on four pillars; learning, positive experiences, developing a community and providing a successful future for our young people. He gained his National Professional Qualification of Headship in 2021 and continues to learn and get better with the firm belief that both adults and young people need to be learners for a school to succeed.

Jeff is a proud husband to Nathalie and father to two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Rosa, who were both born in Malaysia and attend Tenby International School and Tenby Early Years.

When he’s not at school, Jeff enjoys staying active through sports and spending quality time with his family and friends.
