Luis Grandas
Head of Admissions – Europe
Luis grew up in both Spain and Costa Rica, having the chance to experience an international learning environment from a young age. Luis holds a BA in Economics and an Executive Certificate in Innovation and Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management, USA. He is bilingual speaking both English and Spanish.
Luis has always had a passion for learning, working for the last 15 years in several educational settings: business schools, international boarding schools around the world and local schools in Spain. He started his career as an intern for the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid as an academic coordinator moving on to student recruitment and then becoming Head of Admissions for Education First. He has been working in admissions departments for international schools since then. This year, Luis joined the International Schools Partnership (ISP) as Head of Admissions – Europe.
Luis believes that any admissions process starts by listening and understanding the children’s and family’s needs. He believes that he is very lucky to work in an environment where he can truly help change people’s lives.
Luis loves basketball, hiking, skiing, kite surfing, cooking, traveling and meeting people from different cultures with his family.
