Group Reporting Manager
Mahmoud was born in Abu Dhabi to Egyptian parents and lived in the UAE until he completed his A-levels then moved to Scotland for his graduate studies. Mahmoud has a MA(Hons) degree in Business Studies and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh. Having fallen in love with Edinburgh and Scotland, he joined KPMG’s graduate scheme and qualified as a Chartered Accountant working in Audit for four years. He then joined a leading soft commodities trading company as a Sugar Trade Accountant where he was looking after the Mexico and Americas trading desk. Mahmoud’s passion and skills are focused around working with commercial teams to provide insightful financial information that have a significant and direct impact on a business’s decision making.
In addition, he has experience working with young finance teams and helping develop a strong financial control and reporting environment. His role involved spending a significant amount of time in Mexico working with trading, logistic and finance teams on the ground and travelling around operational locations in the country where he experienced the rich hospitable Mexican culture and incredible food history and tradition. Mahmoud joined International Schools Partnership (ISP) in August 2019 as Group Reporting Manager. Being bilingual and having a very international upbringing and professional experience, Mahmoud is a strong believer in the importance of providing quality education with endless opportunities to experience different cultures.
Mahmoud is a very keen squash player where he competes in two leagues in London and is a sports fan including football, rugby and tennis. He also enjoys cooking and baking.
