Miguel Ángel Garrán

Deputy Regional Managing Director – Europe

Miguel Ángel began his career as a Spanish Language and Literature teacher in Secondary Education; he has a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Cádiz in Spain. During his early career, he was also able to teach subjects related to classical languages and humanities. It was not long, before he began to progress and held many different positions of responsibility, including Head of Humanities Department, Head of Sixth Form and Head of Secondary. The experience he gained in these positions enabled Miguel Ángel to become the Principal of Laude El Altillo School in 2003, a position he held for fifteen years. . During this time, he also completed his training by doing a Master of Business Administration with ESIC Business and Marketing School.

From the beginning of this academic year Miguel Ángel has become part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) Europe team, as Deputy Regional Managing Director. He has specific responsibility over the five ISP schools in Andalucía.  He is enthusiastic about helping these schools to become school of choice in their local area.

In his spare time, Miguel Ángel enjoys hiking, paddle, football and spending time with his family.
