Minh Nga
Regional Head of MOET Programme – Vietnam & Thailand
Minh Nga (Janny) completed her undergraduate studies in English and Language Arts Teacher Education at the University of Languages and International Studies with Distinction. At the University of New England, she completed a Master’s Degree in Education in order to enhance her leadership and school administration skills.
She began her career in education as an English teacher at various prestigious high schools in the greater Hanoi metropolitan area, spending almost 21 years teaching English. She also started her first management position as Head of English Department during this time. She managed and maintained an exceptionally high standard of English teaching, while at the same time performing teachers’ assessment. Over the next six years, Nga served as the Vice-Principal in charge of all of the international studies and foreign study arrangements. Her educational philosophy is founded on the principle that all students can learn in an supportive learning environment with knowledgeable and dedicated leaders, an enthusiastic and committed team, a supportive community, and a harmonious Learning family that encourages academic excellence.
Being appointed as the Head of International Relations Division from 2013 to 2016 in Hanoi DoET, she then served as the Deputy Head of Secondary Education Division from 2016 to 2019. The experiences she has had in the educational system have given her the chance to connect with stakeholders from various backgrounds to better serve both public and international students by increasing academic and teacher quality as well as student well-being.
Minh Nga enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling or hiking in nature as well as travel. She also enjoys spending time reading non-fiction and commenting on educational articles.
