ISP: OUR HEADS

Natalia Cáceres

Head of School, The International School of Andalucía

Natalia was born in El Salvador and moved to England to complete her education, graduating from Kent College in Canterbury and reading Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Wolverhampton. ‘Carpe Diem’ has always been her motto and this has driven her amazing learning life experiences and how she found her passion for teaching when accepting a temporary position as a Secondary School English Literature teacher.

Twenty three years later, following her absolute commitment to pastoral service and after gaining experience through all levels of educational leadership and still passionately committed to teaching and student wellbeing , she embarks on the next chapter of her career as Head of School at The International School of Andalucía.

In her spare time, Natalia enjoyed being an event organiser for an NGO, dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of the arts and culture in El Salvador. Her interest in student wellbeing resulted in the development of a Pastoral support system, including PSHE curriculum and Parent Partnership programmes which have been particular highlights in her career; as well as delivering a Ted talk for the first TEDxYouth in El Salvador. In her 22 years of experience, she has worked with schools in Latin America through her work with the CIS as a certified Team Leader in charge of accreditations.

Natalia enjoys travelling and experiencing new places and cultures, trying out new recipes, reading and going to the theatre. She recharges her batteries by spending time with her children and loved ones at the beach.
