Regional Head of Properties – Southeast Asia
Murali joined International Schools Partnership (ISP) in November 2018 as Regional Head of Properties Southeast Asia. He is responsible for keeping the school premises fit for purpose and ensuring the highest level of Health and Safety for the schools to operate in.
Murali was born and raised in Raub, a small town in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. After obtaining his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Malaysian Defence University, he started his working life in the Malaysian Armed Forces, where he made the rank of Captain.
He ventured into the corporate world in 2006 with Tune Hotels Sdn Bhd. Throughout his five years at Tune Hotels, he was responsible for property acquisition and franchise development across Southeast Asia. While with Tune, he also completed his Masters degree in Real Estate from the University of Malaya before moving on to DTZ Nawawi Tie Leung, one of Malaysia’s leading real estate services firm which further expanded his experience.
Murali then moved into the education sector, a sector he feels strongly about as a family man. He joined an international education company in Malaysia in 2014 where he was tasked with expanding their real estate development in Malaysia, and was also part of the project management team handling the pre-ops and commissioning of new schools which saw him leading the commissioning of all outsourced services in the schools.
Murali enjoys travelling to see the world, and he also has a strong passion for creating different types of unique curry dishes, much to the delight of his family members.
