Sergio Jara

Regional Head of Property – South America

Sergio grew up in Chile and has a very diverse background, with Spanish, Middle Eastern and Native American ancestry. He finished his High School studies as an American Field Service (AFS) exchange student in Ohio, USA. Sergio holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Chile, a master’s degree in Architectural Theory and a Diploma in Finance and in Real Estate Valuation.

For the last seven years he has been teaching valuation of properties at the Catholic University of Chile and serving as a Legal Appraiser for the Court of Justice in Santiago. Before joining International Schools Partnership (ISP) in July 2019 he worked for EY and Deloitte creating and leading the Real Estate Valuation Services team in Chile. As part of the ISP team in South America he is very motivated to improve the quality of the educational environment of all the ISP Schools in the region.

Sergio enjoys family time with his Brazilian wife Maria Claudia and their four children. They live in Santiago close to ISP school, Colegio Pedro De Valdivia Peñalolén and the Andes mountains. As a family they enjoy walking, cooking, taking care of their small garden, attending church, and playing with Lego. Sergio has always had a passion for art, especially for painting – he won a competition at High School and also enjoys architectural photography, he shares his latest pictures on his personal social media accounts!
