Simon Lee

Campus Principal, Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens

Simon Lee was born and raised in the North of England, close to the historic city of Chester. Simon has a BA in Music from the University of Liverpool and completed his PGCE teaching qualification in Music and Express Arts at Manchester Metropolitan University. He began his career teaching Music and Art in Secondary schools, focusing specifically on Special Educational Needs.

Simon is also a UK qualified Music Therapist and, throughout his career, has worked in a variety of education and health care settings, including the UK public education system, child and adolescent mental health services, youth justice, and with adults involved in the criminal justice system and psychiatric services.

Due to his varied career path, Simon is passionate about holistic education and the Pastoral aspects of school life, ensuring the well-being of students in addition to their academic development. Simon began his international education career in 2007 with senior leadership positions in both Primary and Secondary schools. He joined Tenby Schools after seven years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he was Head of Upper Primary and Lower Secondary and is proud of his own Amazing Learning journey as he struggled to learn Portuguese!

In his spare time, Simon is a scuba diver and enjoys travelling, and exploring all that Malaysia and Southeast Asia have to offer.
