St. Jude School
St. Jude School in Costa Rica, educates students aged 1 to 18 years and aims to develop the talents and abilities of each individual.
Founded in 1963, St. Jude School is a well-established educational community in Costa Rica, educating students aged from 1 to 18 years old. The school is committed to the social, environmental, economic, educational and spiritual enrichment of each child, working hard to offer initiatives which help children develop in these areas. The school currently participates in the carbon neutrality program implemented by the Universidad el Tropico Humedo (EARTH), with aspirations to make St. Jude the first carbon-neutral school in Costa Rica, having already achieved a 5-star Ecological Blue Flag certification for their commitment to meeting adequate ecological standards in terms of waste and water management, energy and environmental projects. Green projects are therefore integral to the school, with students able to gain first-hand experience in many aspects of forest conservation and recycling, as well as reforestation.
As a UNESCO associated school, the priority at St. Jude School is to develop students that respect individual, religious and cultural differences whilst respecting national and personal pride. All students at St. Jude participate in a Social Work program through which they carry out a job of accompaniment to people of the community with various needs. Through their enriching green projects and social work, St. Jude seek to build consciousness in their community, underlining the importance of taking care of the environment and the people who surround us.
Using the latest and best technology, St. Jude School offer students the necessary tools to succeed in a world that demands more entrepreneurship and professionals capable of using the information available to them in order to problem solve and make effective decisions. Through a stimulating, bilingual education which develops creativity and innovation, the school seeks to build successful personalities with a clear social commitment, and by identifying the strengths and talents of each individual, St. Jude guides students to realising their dreams and achieving the highest levels in their academic career and beyond.
