Tanya Price

Executive Head of School, Kehoe-France Schools

 

Tanya is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, USA and has nineteen years of experience in education. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. Recently, she graduated with her Doctorate of Education in Executive Leadership from the University of Holy Cross.

While in the classroom, Tanya taught for seven years at St. Tammany Parish, where she was part of the curriculum writing project for 5th grade language arts, multi-grade math and language arts special education. She then became a Literacy Coach working with Title I schools delivering model lessons and administering professional development.

After leaving St. Tammany Parish, Tanya worked for Catapult Learning as a Professional Development Manager, providing professional development to schools across the USA. She has presented a variety of workshops on various topics including: differentiated instruction, Common Core, cooperative learning, and special education topics.

Tanya joined Kehoe-France in 2012 as the Assistant Principal for Southshore and Curriculum Coordinator for Northshore and Southshore campuses. In June 2018, she was appointed as the Head of School for Kehoe-France Southshore before becoming Executive Head of School for both the Southshore and Northshore campuses in 2022. Tanya is passionate about educating children to become lifelong learners.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Gumbeaux. She loves attending sporting events and, on Sundays during football season, can be found at the Superdome cheering on the New Orleans Saints. Tanya also loves attending all of the wonderful festivals in New Orleans, especially Mardi Gras!
