Regional Head of Facilities – Middle East

Walid grew up in both Syria and the United Arab Emirates and is bilingual – speaking and writing both English and Arabic. Walid is passionate about ensuring that children and teachers work and learn in the best possible environments; to that end he has spent the last eleven years working within the facilities management field, serving schools in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East.

 He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of facilities management, and a detailed understanding of the related laws and regulations in the region. This knowledge and experience, combined with exceptional interpersonal skills, has helped to ensure that both newly built and refurbished schools meet the highest possible expectations of all stakeholders. In addition, Walid’s background is in business management and health and safety with strong technical knowledge. The application of all of these principles ensures the on-going, smooth running of the schools. Principals can allow education to proceed, safe in the knowledge that the premises are fit-for-purpose, fully functional, and meeting and exceeding all regulatory requirements.

 In his spare time, Walid enjoys fishing, boating, jet-skiing and diving. Encouraging his own two children to actively pursue their passions ensures that he is always busy at the weekend and during holidays!
